"Logistics is the answer": Geodis Logistics at the Logistics Day

Frankfurt am Main/Rodgau, March 29th, 2012 – Logistics creates connections across borders. The fifth national Logistics Day will take place on 19 April. Geodis, the logistics services provider, will be attending the initiative by the Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BV), the Federal Association of Logistics, for the fifth time in the form of its site in Rodgau near Frankfurt am Main. This year's motto is "Logistics connects”. This particular branch of the industry is becoming increasingly important, as companies are now, more than ever before, looking to use their resources and site capacities efficiently. Logistics is much more than transportation, transshipment and warehousing. In Germany alone, 2.8 million people are currently employed in this field, and last year sales increased to EUR 220 billion.

Geodis Logistics presents its broad area of activities to customers on the 17,000 m² of its logistics centre at Behringstrasse 8, starting with the processing of incoming goods and fine order picking, packaging and delivery to after-sales activities, customs and transport management solutions.

Geodis Logistics will be offering two events on this day, one at 8.30 am and the other at 4.00 pm, starting with a short presentation followed by a guided tour and Q&A session – the perfect opportunity to find out how things work for a leading logistics services provider.
